What we hold, why we hold it, and how to have it removed.
Version 7. Last updated 16 October 2026.
Who we are
Hear Us Pray is operated by The Neaux, LLC, a limited liability company formed in Louisiana, United States. You can reach us at support@hearuspray.com, or by post at 201 Rue Beauregard, Suite 202, Lafayette, LA 70508.
The two kinds of person here
This matters, because we hold different things about each.
A buyer creates an account, puts a Rosary together, invites people and pays for it.
A contributor is invited by a buyer to record one or more prayers. A contributor has no account, no password, and nothing to install. They arrive by a link, agree, record, and that is the end of it.
What we hold about a buyer
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address | To sign in, and to send you the messages this service needs to send |
| If you sign in with Google: the name and email address on your Google account | Google tells us these two things and nothing else, so you do not need a password here. We never post anything to Google or see anything else in your Google account |
| Your name | It goes in the invitation, so relatives can see who is asking |
| The title and the line you write for contributors | The line is shown to whoever records; both are saved with the finished Rosary |
| What you have made, and when | To show you your own Rosaries |
| A record of payment | To know a Rosary has been paid for, and for our accounts |
| The city, state, ZIP code and country from your billing address | With the record of payment, we keep the city, state, ZIP code and country from your billing address, to meet tax obligations and understand where Hear Us Pray is used. Not your street address, which stays with Stripe |
We never see or hold your card details. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe, on their own pages.
What we hold about a contributor
Named in full, because a contributor did not sign up for anything and should be able to see exactly what exists.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| The recording itself | It is the thing being made |
| The name the buyer gave you, and your relationship to them | So the family knows whose voice is on which bead. Your name can also appear in a video of the finished Rosary, which the family can download and keep, unless they choose to make it without names |
| Your email address, if the buyer gave one | To send the invitation, and to tell you when the Rosary is finished if you asked us to |
| Your IP address and browser description, at the moment you agreed | To prove the agreement was given, and by whom. Nothing else |
| The exact wording you agreed to, and when | An agreement we cannot produce is not an agreement |
| Who held the phone, if it was not you | So the record says who actually gave the agreement |
| When you opened the link, and whether you were reminded | So the buyer knows whether to chase you, and so we do not send more than one reminder |
| Measurements of the recording: loudness, background noise, length | To level every voice so none is louder than another |
What we do not hold
No photographs. No location beyond what an IP address implies. No contacts, no address book, no microphone access outside the moment you are recording. We do not know what else is on your phone and we do not ask.
If you write to us
Anybody can use Contact Us, at the foot of every page, to tell us something is wrong. It sends us:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| What you write | So we know what went wrong |
| The email address you give us | To reply to you. Nothing else |
| Which page you were on, and on a recording page, which invitation | So you do not have to explain where you were |
| Your browser, device type and screen size | Because many problems belong to one kind of phone |
What contributors agree to
Before recording, whoever is holding the phone is shown one of three statements and has to agree to it. Which one depends on whose voice is being recorded, and the answer is stored alongside the agreement.
Recording your own voice
Recording somebody who is there with you
For a relative who would rather not use a phone.
In the second case we also record the name of the person who held the phone, so the record says who gave the agreement rather than implying it came from somebody who never tapped anything.
The wording each person agreed to is stored with their agreement, so a change to it never applies backwards.
Who else sees any of this
Five suppliers, each doing one job. None of them is paid for your data and none of them is permitted to use it for anything else. We will name any of them on request: write to support@hearuspray.com.
| What they do | What they can see |
|---|---|
| Holds the database and the recordings | Everything, stored in the United States |
| Serves the pages, and counts visits to them | Which pages are requested, and from roughly where. It also counts visits to our own pages, without cookies and without anything that identifies a person, so we can see how the site is used. It never counts the pages you record or listen on |
| Assembles a Rosary from the separate recordings | The recordings, while it is joining them together |
| Sends the email, including invitations and sign-in links | Names and email addresses, and what the message says |
| Takes payment | Your card details, which they hold and we never see. This one is Stripe, and you see their name at checkout |
Nobody else. We run no advertising, no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts on any page, and no analytics beyond the count of visits described above, which uses no cookies and identifies no one. We do not sell, rent or share anything with anybody, and there is no circumstance in which we would sell a recording of somebody praying.
Where this happens
Everything is stored in the United States, and Hear Us Pray is sold in the United States only.
A contributor can be anywhere. If you have been invited to record a prayer from another country you are welcome to, and your recording is held in the United States along with the rest of the Rosary.
How long we keep things
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Recordings, on a Rosary nobody finished | Ninety days from the day it was started. Then it closes and the recording links stop working. It can be restored for thirty days after that, and then everything in it is removed for good |
| Recordings, on a Rosary that was paid for | Until the buyer deletes it. A paid Rosary does not expire |
| Once a buyer deletes something | Links stop working at once. Thirty days in case it was a mistake, and then it is removed for good from our systems and from any backup copy |
| The finished Rosary | The same as the recordings in it |
| Records of agreement | Kept, because they are the proof that a recording was made willingly. Personal details on them can be removed on request |
| A record of changes made | Twelve months |
| A message sent with Contact Us | Thirty days in our records |
| Payment records | Kept, as part of our accounts, even after the Rosary they paid for is deleted. Once it is, the record holds only the amount, the date, any promotion code used, Stripe's reference for the payment, and the city, state, ZIP code and country from the billing address, with no link to the Rosary |
| Anyone who has asked not to be emailed | Kept indefinitely, because forgetting it would mean emailing you again |
Asking us to remove something
If you are a contributor
Ask the person who invited you, and they can remove your recording. When they do, it is genuinely deleted rather than hidden.
If you would rather not go through them, write to support@hearuspray.com. We will delete the recording within one business day, without condition and without asking why, and remove your name and email from the record of agreement. We keep the fact that an agreement was given, and its date, without your details attached.
A parent or guardian can ask for a child's recording to be removed the same way, and on the same terms.
If you are a buyer
Delete a Rosary from your own projects, or write to us to close your account and remove everything in it. The one exception is the record of payment, which we keep as described above.
Either way
You can ask us what we hold about you and we will tell you. We aim to answer within seven days.
Children
This service is not intended for or directed at children. Anybody recording a prayer must be thirteen or over, whether they are recording for themselves or holding the phone for somebody else who is with them.
We do not knowingly collect anything from a child under thirteen, and nothing in the recorder asks whether the person praying is one.
If you believe a child under thirteen has been recorded, write to support@hearuspray.com and we will delete the recording within one business day, without condition and without asking why.
What we do not do with a recording
A recording is used to assemble and play back the Rosary it was made for, and for nothing else. We do not extract voiceprints, create biometric identifiers, or analyse vocal geometry or acoustics to identify individuals. We never use, license or sell a recording to train artificial intelligence, machine learning or speech synthesis models.
A recording is identified by the name the family typed beside it. Nothing measures a voice to work out whose it is.
Keeping it safe
Recordings are stored privately and cannot be reached by guessing an address. Every request to the database is checked against who is asking, so one family's Rosary cannot be reached from another's account. A contributor's link is a long random string that is never listed anywhere and is not indexed by search engines.
No system is perfect, and we would tell you promptly if we believed recordings had been exposed.
We send what the service needs: an invitation, at most one reminder, a sign-in link, a receipt, and a message when a Rosary is finished if you asked for one. Every message has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is permanent.
We send no marketing email, and there is no newsletter.
Changes to this page
If we change it we will change the date at the top. If a change materially affects what we do with recordings we will email buyers before it takes effect.
